A dead car at LAX is not the same as a dead car on a Koreatown curb. The airport, the structures, Century Boulevard, Sepulveda, and the 105/405 ramps each have different access. LAX airport towing starts with where the car sits, then who is allowed to move it. We will not invent an airport fee schedule. None is in our claims file.
Terminal curb, structure, and the streets around LAX
Name the place with more than “LAX.”
A terminal curb in the central terminal area is airport property and a live lane for buses and shuttles. A structure stall is a height bar, a level number, and a walk to a signal. Century Boulevard is a city street with airport traffic. Sepulveda through the tunnel is a different bottleneck. The 105 and 405 ramps at the airport are CHP-served highway in stretches. Inglewood and El Segundo streets at the edge are ordinary City or neighboring-city streets.
If the car is on a CHP highway or ramp, the California Highway Patrol Rotation Tow Program may already own the job. Get out of live lanes. Follow the officer.
If the car is on a City of Los Angeles street off the airport, a police-ordered tow goes through the Official Police Garage system. Search opglaviic.com if it is already gone. There are 17 designated OPGs. Release is in person, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
If the car is in an airport structure or on airport property, LAWA and the contractor on that lot set access. A published LAX tow-fee schedule, a named airport Official Police Garage, and an after-hours airport gate fee could not be confirmed in our claims file. Ask the parking office or the officer on scene which yard took it, or whether you may hire a private operator to enter. Then tell dispatch what they said.
Inglewood city pages and a generic “near me” pin are not a substitute for that answer. The car is either on airport property, on a CHP ramp, or on a surrounding street. Match that, then call.
Dead battery, lockout, empty tank, and a load
A lot of LAX calls are not wrecks. A rental that will not start in P4. Keys on the seat at the terminal. An empty tank after circling arrivals. Those are jump start, car lockout, and fuel delivery if the operator can legally reach the stall.
Say the terminal, the structure name or number, the level, and the stall. Say the make. An EV still belongs on a flatbed. AWD still belongs on a bed or on dollies. A height bar that will not take a deck means the operator may have to jump or unlock in place, then have you drive to a load zone they can enter.
If the car cannot be driven to that zone, say so. Do not leave a dead car on a terminal curb and fly. A curb is a live lane. CVC 22651 includes hazard removals. An agency tow is an Official Police Garage invoice, not a private jump.
City OPG rates as of January 1, 2026 start at $220.00 for a standard vehicle tow in the first hour at the credit-card rate, plus storage if it is held. The Vehicle Release Fee is $115.00. Those figures are City garage rates. They are not an airport concession price, and they are not Quick Tow LA’s rate card. We do not publish one.
Who you actually call
If you still control the hire and the car is on a public street or in a place a private operator can enter, call dispatch. Quick Tow LA connects you with a licensed operator. You contract with them, and you pay them. We do not hold a Motor Carrier Permit. We do not have an exclusive LAX contract to claim.
If an officer, an airport parking employee, or CHP already assigned a truck, that truck has the job. A second wrecker will not take it.
If the car is already gone, do not assume Inglewood. Try opglaviic.com, 311, the airport parking office, and CHP. Our find your towed car guide is the county matching table. Our tow yards near me page is the yard-locator step.
Long Beach, Burbank, and Pasadena boards do not apply to an LAX structure. Do not drive to 3111 E. Willow Street for a terminal tow unless that city actually has the car.
What we will not invent
No LAX fee schedule. No named terminal contractor phone from a search snippet. No arrival-time promise. No “airport surcharge” dollar figure. Confirm access and the charge with the operator and with the person who controls that lot.
If you need a drop far from the airport, that is distance. See long-distance towing. If you are hiring from a nearby hotel or an employee lot in El Segundo, say that city, not only LAX.
Stay out of live lanes while you wait. NHTSA roadside safety applies on Century and on the ramps the same way it does on the 405.
When to call us
Call when the car is at or near LAX, you still control the hire, and airport or CHP has not already assigned a truck. Have the terminal, structure, level, and stall ready. Call (213) 410-1414 to reach dispatch.
